Start-up Internship Programme

Objectives

Nurturing entrepreneurial spirit of the youth of Shenzhen and Hong Kong
Fostering co-operation and partnership among youth in Shenzhen and Hong Kong
Helping students understand the start-up ecosystem and market in Shenzhen

Period: 26 May to 14 July 2019 (50 days)

Activities

Cross-cultural entrepreneurship training
Lean Start-up programme, to design business models and validate business plans at minimal cost
Investment pitching session
Internship at technology start-ups in Shenzhen
Visits to internationally renowned technology companies and incubators in Shenzhen like Tencent and Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Hub

Location: Shenzhen

Application Eligibility

Full-time or part-time undergraduate students of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong Community College (HKCC) or the School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED)
Interested in starting a business or intended to join a start-up
To be able to read Chinese and communicate in Putonghua
